How To Update Message Centre Number for Android Phones (SMSC) and to Change network Mode?

(It can be done using Android Secret Code  *#*#4636#*#*)

ISSUE: I can’t text message on Android because I have used the hidden secret code *#*#4636#*#* and Deleted the SMS Message Centre Number from my Samsung Galaxy S II phone by mistake.

How to change SMSC (Short Message Service Center) number on Android Device

Changing SMSC (Short Message Service Center)

Android  phone has NO setting or application to do this.

Here you are:

1. Go to Phone Dialer, and press: *#*#4636#*#*
2. Select Phone information
3. Scroll down to bottom of the screen; you'll see the field for SMSC setting.
4. [Optional] Click Refresh to see current SMSC number.

I mistakenly hit "Update" while the SMSC box was empty and now all I have is 00 as the SMSC. Never EVER hit update while that box was empty.

5. Change the SMSC number as you want. Then, click Update. 

Note: Message Centre Number can be taken from by referring your friends who holding the same Network which you use.

If the Above thing not works Follow below:

Solution? 

Take the SIM card out and stick it in a non-android phone, go to the messaging app, settings, message center number and enter the real number, i.e. +919894051914 (Base India), for your country Check Your Network Provider.

Save, exit, power off, and replace SIM into Android phone, job done!

And do not use any hidden secret code you find on net.
